In what appears to be a quite poorly attended debate on gender pay gap in the European Parliament, a Polish MP called Janusz Korwin-Mikke exercised great powers of logic and argumentation to cinch the debate by saying that women are “smaller, less intelligent, and they must earn less, that’s all”.
As he was making these noises with his mouth, you could see female MPs looking dumbfounded and basically wondering who let this guy out in public. His speech is followed by Iratxe Garcia Perez from Spain blasting him. She said that he’s afraid of (nasty) women like her being in Parliament and representing other women, and said that it’s her job as an MP to protect Europe from men like him.
