Border and Fall is a Bangalore-based digital publication that focuses on India’s craft and fashion community. As reported by Quartz India, for over a year now, they’ve been working on an amazing resource: a digital library of over 100 different ways to drape a sari, beyond the famous Nivi style that we’re all most used to seeing (did you know that that style originally came from Andhra Pradesh?).

Now, Border and Fall have been featured on Google Art & Culture’s #WeWearCulture project in the form of an amazing online exhibition of different sari drapes and prints. It features over 60 different drapes from 15 states, including drapes and styles from smaller, local communities.

Border and Fall‘s larger sari project, ‘The Sari Series: An Anthology of Drape’, intends to document the various regional drapes of the sari through short film, and will include over 80 how-to-drape films, and three independent art films.

You can check out Google Art & Culture and Border and Falls’ full collaboration here.

This article initially indicated that the project was a collaboration with Google. This has been corrected to reflect that it was featured on Google Art & Culture.
