“I wanted women to read my book and be like ‘Ok, Gurmehar Kaur is crazy because the women before her were crazy enough to break stereotypes’” said Gurmehar Kaur, student activist and author of Small Acts of Freedom.

Authors Gurmehar Kaur and Preti Taneja had a nice chat on a Facebook live with Taruni Kumar of The Ladies Finger at The Times Lit Fest, Bengaluru.

Kaur is a 20-year old DU student and an activist whose book was released recently. Taneja is the author of the book We That Are Young, which is a King Lear adaptation. Both books are debut novels.
