On Sunday, 9th April, 2017, Lucknow saw it’s first Queer Pride Parade, which also happened to be Uttar Pradesh’s first Queer Pride Parade. It was organised by Darvesh Singh Yadavendra, and it somehow feels extra important and special given the generally conservative tilt Uttar Pradesh has been showing over the last couple of weeks.
