Yesterday was the confusing day before the end of the financial year when you have to try and remember whether you earned anything this year and have angry outbursts against the government and also against your own filing system (aka a plastic shopping bag under your bed). But yesterday was also World Idli Day and we feel sad to have been distracted by bills when we could have celebrated something round and fluffy instead. Idlis have embraced diversity so they are not even always annoyingly white anymore, what with ragi and oats now in the team.
