Once upon a time in some places in the world men preferred that women didn’t run because it wasn’t safe for women to run. It might have discombobulated our insides. But some women still ran, of course.
Or in some places, they didn’t like women running for reasons best explained by Marjane Satrapi in Persepolis 2.
So for all those reasons for decades we often saw only men running. Now that women do run all over the place, how can men organise some male bonding while running? To run for women’s safety, of course.
Of course, if men just keep running in circles, women would be safe. So perhaps it is a great idea. Perhaps we should shout, a bit like Chandler: Run, Menz, Run Like The Wind.
