Donald Trump called Hilary Clinton a ‘nasty woman’ during the presidential debate. While social media imploded with anger over it, when Brooklyn-based ceramic artist and sculptor Roxanne Jackson heard it, she put out a call to women who would be want to set up and contribute to a ‘Nasty Women group show’.

The response to reclaiming Trump’s slight was overwhelming, and it grew into a formidable art exhibition with over 700 women artists and curators offering their paintings, photography, digital prints, printed comics, and other works of art. It included several funny paintings lampooning Trump, a Trump voodoo doll, and a necklace with beads spelling out the word ‘Ungrabbable’.

The show turned out to be a massive hit, making over $35000 in the opening night in Queen’s, New York, while all the money raised is being sent to Planned Parenthood, a non-profit organisation providing reproductive health services. The show has wrapped up in New York, but 29 more are expected to be scheduled in various other cities across the States, including San Antonio, Ashville, and Lubbock. Browse through some of the quirky and stunning work that was on display during the exhibit.
