Can you be a feminist and love fashion at the same time?
How does the fashion world change as it becomes conscious of feminist issues?
All this and more will be answered come Friday, August 19th, as The Ladies Finger editor Nisha Susan moderates an amazing panel of women to discuss “Feminism and Fashion: Navigating a Knotty Terrain”. The panel discussion has Lakme Fashion Week teaming up with TLF and Godrej India Culture Lab for an evening of debate, discussion and verbal debauchery.
Fashion stylist and blogger Pallavi Dutta will showcase an art exhibit that reimagines strong women characters from Premchand’s writings.
Preceding the panel,spoken word artist Sharanya Manivannan will present a poem on expressing yourself through fashion.
Nisha Susan will join Sharanya Manivannan, fashion designer Anita Dongre, comedian Mallika Dua, and craft revivalist and social worker Laila Tyabji for the panel discussion.
Join the ladies early for the exhibit that begins at 4pm, followed by the talk at 5pm!
