1. Laurie Hernandez, USA gymnast sassing it up!
During the artistic gymnastics qualifiers, Hernandez managed to begin her routine in the floor exercise event with much sass — a life lesson for dealing with haters or judges.
2. Emotions run high for USA swimmer Simone Manuel on the podium
Manuel made history when she became the first black female swimmer to win an Olympic gold in the 100 m freestyle event. She also broke the Olympic record and tied for gold with Canadian Penny Oleksiak! But the true effects of her achievement were realised as she saw her country’s flag being raised during the medal ceremony.
3. Chinese swimmer Fu Yuanhui was the world’s most excited swimmer ever!

Spanish weightlifter Lidia Valentin Perez, won the bronze in the women’s 75 kg category but her reaction after her final attempt is truly beautiful and too pure for this world.
But of course, while we are glad and send our love to all these wonderful souls for making these GIFs, this Olympics has truly missed out on the most GIF-worthy moment ever: Lilly King vs Yulia Efimova and the eternal finger wagging!
