Serena polyglots

Serena charmed Paris today with her confident, cheery champion’s speech in French. Here is an interesting take on the William sisters’ comfortable adaptation to Europe versus male tennis champions. This was written after Serena gave a champion’s speech in Italian a month ago in Rome.

Fun bit: (At the) time that I was watching Serena roll through Rome, I was reading updates from other American players about their own adventures in Europe. The men, as a whole, didn’t sound as content as Serena.
