“I think I am done with mainstream literature festivals”, author Sujatha Gidla said casually, just after she had finished with her panel at the Times Lit Fest in Bengaluru.

The Lit fest saw the New York-based author discuss her book, Ants Among Elephants as one of the panellists on a panel discussing ‘Writing under Threat’.

The Ladies Finger’s Sharanya Gopinathan caught up with her and Professor Vijeta Kumar on a Facebook Live. Professor Kumar teaches English Literature at St Joesph’s College and is a big follower of Gidla’s work on discrimination against Dalits in India.
