So Vogue just celebrated 10 years in India by putting a white woman on the anniversary special cover. People were annoyed because Vogue thought it was tasteful to put Kendall Jenner on the cover of the magazine when there are so many beautiful Indian women who could’ve made the cut instead of her. Jenner was recently in the midst of a separate race-based controversy over her politically insensitive (and logically deficient) ad for Pepsi.
But amidst all the outrage, did you hear what Sushant Singh Rajput had to say? No? So lucky. He’s in the magazine as well, and there are pictures of him supporting Jenner as she leans back on him high-fashionably. As part of the cover, he gave an interview to Vogue, snippets of which are floating about online.
When he was asked about his “flirting technique”, he responded by saying, “I have none. I just crawl inside her mind and untame her imagination”. Every time I read that sentence it makes me want to wash the inside of my brain: thank you so much, Sushant, for being and explaining the literal definition of a “mindfuck”.
He also said the kind of woman that gets his attention is the kind that doesn’t need someone to “validate their existence”, which as far as I know is every woman in the world. And in an answer as vanilla as this Vogue cover, he says that his guilty pleasure is to “eat chocolate, drink wine, sleep naked”. Uff, thank god I know how to flirt and won’t need to crawl into this dude’s mind any time soon: it doesn’t sound like there could be any place more boring to be.
