Yougaiz, Some People Think it was Anti-National for Swara Bhaskar to Condemn Rape

Swara Bhasker recently posted on Twitter a picture of her demanding justice for the eight year old Kathua gang rape victim. She not only attracted a whole bunch of haters who labelled her as ‘anti-national’, but the same group of easily offended Saviours of Hinduism began the #BoycottAmazon campaign on Twitter when she tweeted out an endorsement post for Amazon India.

Amazon India was obviously intimidated, and took down the tweet which had caused the chaos. But that didn’t stop people from taking screenshots of Bhasker’s post and re-tweeting it with #BoycottAmazon, with some even saying that they wouldn’t want to use Amazon India if they side with a person who is clearly Anti-Hindu. Bhasker, naturally, isn’t one to back down though, she has been actively tweeting in her defence and fighting her haters.

“I think it is very important to expose the hatred and the low level of humanity of so many of these trolls. And some of them are public figures who have verification ticks on them. So it is important to call them out because silence in the times like this is termed as complicity”, Bhasker told Hindustan Times.

Of course, while our online nationalist junta is busy wasting their times and everyone’s harassing these women and arbitrary multi-national companies, here’s the news they decided to simultaneously ignore. A nine year old girl who was travelling by the Trivandrum Express train on Saturday was molested by K.P Prem Ananth, a Chennai based lawyer who had contested from R.K nagar constituency in 2006 on a BJP ticket. The 56 year old sexually assaulted the girl while she was asleep and even threatened her parents when they filed an FIR against him. While the outrage train on Twitter didn’t deign to stop here, busy as its passengers were lambasting Amazon’s imaginary anti-Hindu cred, ace badminton player Jwala Gutta did have some choice words on the matter.

After which she was (surprise surprise) trolled by a dozen people calling her a fake nationalist. And so the circle of life and Twitter outrage goes on.
