It’s true that Bangalore is unsafe.
It’s where I was raped by two cousins. It’s where my father threw me out of my house. And my mother beat me for not looking after my younger brother. And they both beat me that one time they saw me talking to a much older cousin. It’s true that one night when I slept next to an ex-boyfriend in a long row of house guests after a party, he attacked me. It’s where my husband’s cousins keep asking for food to be re-heated. And his relatives continue to complain about my cooking.
It does seem that Bangalore is unsafe. But do you think it’s just my house?
