Wouldn’t Jessica Williams make a great Daily Show host?

Jessica Williams is 25, an actor, a satirist and a stand-up comic. When she joined Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in 2012 as their youngest correspondent, her comedic and political chops – particularly to do with race and gender – got her noticed internationally. And she had a part on the third season of Lena Dunham’s comedy series Girls.

This week, news leaked from the Comedy Central office that Jon Stewart was going to retire at the end of the season. How they thought they could keep such big news under wraps is a mystery, considering Stewart and Stephen Colbert (whose show “The Colbert Report” stopped airing in December) have played a crucial part in analysing American news. But after the news leaked, Stewart, who has hosted “The Daily Show” for the last 16 years, made the tearful announcement on the latest episode.

A while ago, when Stewart took a break from “The Daily Show” to direct his own movie, John Oliver filled in for him. But now that Oliver has his own show (“Last Week Tonight”) on HBO which has been making waves internationally, people are already wondering about the new host. The Internet is abuzz with names, and an Amy Poehler on “The Daily Show” image has gone viral.

C’mon, world. Make Jessica Williams the show’s anchor already. A young, spunky black woman with badass hair will do America, the world and comedy some good. Don’t believe us? Here are eight awesome videos that will convince you of it:

1. On the racial profiling of black people

2. On catcalling
