Um, how wicked is this video of Afghanistan’s female only fencing team? It takes extreme skills to get on the national team, and these women practice even though they don’t have adequate funds for proper equipment. Despite the Taliban having made it difficult during their rule for women to practice and train in sports, these women are absolutely relentless in their training.
Afghan women seem to be absolutely killing it across the board, whether they’re practicing wushu kung-fu on snow covered mountaintops, or performing amazing music at world summits. Check out this video of the fencing team, and plug your headphones in when you do.
