Gippi, directed by Sonam Nair, not only passes the Bechdel test with flying colours, it also fails the reverse Bechdel test for men. That is, there is more than one named male character, they do say things to each other, but not about not-women. It’s a lovely campy movie with lots of girls and women talking about lots of things, including but not exclusive to men of course. Primary among these men being Shammi Kapoor.
