Drawing the Line: Graphic stories by Indian women edited by Priya Kuriyan, Larisa Bertonasco and Ludmilla Bartscht. Zubaan Books, Rs 695.
The Ladies Finger is delighted to bring you two stories from Drawing the Line, a new graphic anthology from Zubaan: ‘Basic Space’ by Kaveri Gopalakrishnan, which presents conversations with women about navigating public space, and ‘The Photo’ by Reshu Singh, in which a young woman examines her feelings about marriage. The introduction to the anthology was written by Nisha Susan, a Finger editor. And as she writes in the introduction, this is a wonderful time for feminist art, a wonderful time to be a feminist with greedy eyes.
